A safe pair of hands
for your clients' estate plans.

When you send a client to a lawyer, your name goes with them. Advisors refer to The Kogan Firm because the fees are flat and published, every message gets a reply within one business day, the client works directly with the attorney, the drafting is litigation-tested, and the whole engagement is available in English or Russian.

Why advisors refer here

Your referral reflects on you.
I treat it that way.

Flat published fees

Your client sees the number in writing before engaging. No surprise bill ever lands on the person who made the introduction.

1-business-day response

Every referral and every client message gets a reply within one business day. Your client never wonders if the handoff went into a void.

Direct attorney access

Your client works with me, not a paralegal or an intake team. The person who takes the call is the person who drafts the plan.

Litigation-tested drafting

I litigate the disputes that arise when estate plans fail, so every document is drafted against the failure modes I have actually seen in court.

English and Russian

Russian-speaking clients get the entire engagement, consultation through signing, in their own language.

The process

How I work with your clients

The handoff is deliberately simple. No intake forms before we talk, no engagement letter before the client knows the price, and no radio silence after you make the introduction.

01

The introduction

You introduce us by email or the client books directly through my calendar. Either way works; there is no formal intake gate.

02

Free 15-minute scoping call

I confirm what the client actually needs, flag anything outside my lane, and answer their questions. No charge, no obligation.

03

Flat-fee quote in writing

Before any engagement, the client receives the full fee in writing. Standard estate plans are published prices; anything custom is quoted first.

04

You stay in the loop

To the extent the client authorizes, I keep you informed on status and completion so you know the planning you recommended actually happened.

What you get back

The client comes back to you
with homework for you.

A funding checklist

Every client leaves with a written checklist of accounts to retitle and beneficiary designations to update. Most of those steps run through you, which means the plan actually gets implemented and you stay at the center of the relationship.

No cross-selling

This firm practices law only. I do not sell investments, insurance, or tax preparation, and I never will. Your client's financial and tax work stays exactly where it belongs: with you.

Referrals both ways

Clients regularly ask me for a CPA, an advisor, or a realtor they can trust. Where the fit is right, I reciprocate. A good referral network runs in both directions.

Scope

What I handle, and what I refer out.

You should know before you refer whether the matter lands in my lane. Full details are on the pricing page. If a matter belongs with a specialist, I say so on the scoping call and help the client find one.

I handle

  • Foundation Plan, will-based estate plan: $1,500 individual / $2,200 couple
  • Legacy Plan, trust-based estate plan: $3,500 individual / $4,500 couple
  • Summary probate administration: flat $3,000
  • Formal probate administration: from $4,500, quoted per estate
  • Trust administration
  • Business transactional work: entities, operating agreements, contracts

I refer out

  • Medicaid and elder-law planning
  • Complex multi-state high-net-worth tax structures

Estate-plan and summary-administration prices are flat and published. Formal probate is not flat; it starts at $4,500 and is quoted per estate after the scoping call.

A note on referral fees. Florida Bar rules do not permit lawyers to share legal fees with non-lawyers, so no referral fees are paid or accepted for legal work in either direction. The relationship is a professional courtesy both ways: you send clients when I am the right fit, and I do the same.

Fees are current as of June 2026 and subject to change. Flat fees apply to standard matters; complex matters are quoted individually after a free consultation. This page is general information, not legal advice.

Introduce a client by email, have them book directly, or take 15 minutes with me first so you know exactly who you are referring to. Either way, you hear back within one business day.
